What is the Sprout Program?
The Sprout Program is built for you. We believe that the best way to learn design is by doing real work for real companies, and getting paid fairly for it. Think of it as a flexible, professional design job where you get to build an incredible portfolio, learn advanced industry tools, and receive coaching from a seasoned expert.
How the Program Works
Project-Based Compensation: We believe in valuing your talent and hard work. Because every client project is unique, compensation varies depending on the size and scope of the engagement. You can always find the exact pay rate or project stipend clearly listed directly on each individual project application before you apply.
Flexible, Part-Time Hours: This program is built to fit around your university schedule, requiring a part-time commitment of roughly 15 to 20 hours per week. Your independent work hours are highly flexible, but we do require a few set times throughout the week for team syncs and client meetings. We will collaboratively map out a meeting schedule that works for everyone once the project team is selected.
Because we hire new teams for every single client engagement, our project slots fill up quickly.

Application process
Because we hire custom student teams on a project-by-project basis, our application process is designed to be straightforward, transparent, and respectful of your time. Here is what you can expect when a new project opens up:
Step 1: The Digital Application
First, you will fill out our online application form for the specific project drop. To complete this step, you will need to submit:
Your Resume & Portfolio: Show us your background and the design work you are most proud of.
A Few Short Questions: A chance for us to learn a little bit more about your design style, your goals, and your availability.
A Letter of Recommendation (Optional but Highly Encouraged): We love hearing from people who believe in your talent. This can be from a university professor, a past employer, a mentor, or anyone who can speak to your work ethic and passion.
Step 2: The Online Interview
If your digital application is a great match for the client's project, we will invite you to a brief online interview via Zoom.
What to expect: This isn't a stressful corporate interrogation. It’s simply a face-to-face chat where we can talk through your portfolio, discuss the project details, and ensure the timeline and hours fit perfectly with your school schedule.
